The Dialectical and Cognitive Behavior Therapy Center, located in Westport, CT, is seeking a CT licensed, or CT license eligible therapist to join our expanding practice beginning Spring/Summer 2021. Our Center, established in 2006, provides both DBT and CBT to children, adolescents, and adults for a variety of problems. Several members of our group have achieved DBT Board Certification through the Linehan Board and our Center is committed to offering fully adherent DBT and CBT. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with DBT, familiarity with other empirically supported CBT treatments, and comfort in dealing with adolescents and adults. Candidates who have experience in CBT or DBT but not both will be considered provided there is enthusiasm in developing competency in the less developed approach. In addition to providing individual psychotherapy, family psychotherapy, and leading skills training and therapy groups, for those with interest, our practice offers opportunities for clinical research.
